Our Story

Highway 1 Foods is located in Gualala, California. You may never heard of Gualala, Point Arena, or Sea Ranch, California for that matter. But that's where we and our employees live, in a few small towns along the Pacific coast. We may be three hours north of San Francisco, but none of the towns where we live have any street lights, subways, or trains. As you can imagine, this makes things pretty quiet, simple, and from our perspective, good. Our salt comes from one and only one place, the Pacific Ocean. And we are proud to deliver it to you in three different ways: Fine Grain for everyday cooking, Coarse Grain for added crunch, and Smoked Coarse Grain, for instant campfire flavor on everything from burgers to grilled veggies.
